These words are found in the Bible, in the Book of Jude, verses 24-25.

All of us, every single day, need the help of God to keep us from falling. We wake up with many plans, actions, and to-do lists, but it truly does take the help of God to keep us standing. In the Catholic Faith, St. Jude Thaddeus is the patron saint for seemingly impossible or difficult causes.

And we can all agree that a business journey is one of those difficult and, at times, almost impossible causes. The fear of failure, the temptation of giving up, and the burden of financial pressures all weigh heavily upon a business founder.

All of these were the challenges facing the founders of Jude Colour Solutions almost fifteen years ago. Yet, even in those moments of uncertainty, armed with faith, they looked up to St. Jude Thaddeus to start a business they were passionate about, a business they believed would change the landscape of branding in Uganda. It was from his inspiration that the name we know today was born – Jude Colour Solutions.

When it comes to anything to do with branding, they have mastered the art of giving a brand the integrity it deserves, whether it is on a bag, a trophy, signage, or any of the over 8,000 promotional items they make. We recently had the opportunity to work with them for the gifts of the Lapatutu Letter Writing Competition, and we were captivated by their natural customer care and dedication to quality.

Even though it was our very first time working with them, they gave us undivided attention usually reserved for a long-time client. From their incredibly quick feedback to maintaining an open, reassuring line of communication throughout the process, they delivered exactly as expected and right on time.

It was these qualities that pushed us to learn more about their story. What makes them who they are? How is it that everyone we interacted with seemed to carry those same values of empathy, kindness, and focus on quality? At Lapatutu, we have always believed that behind every remarkable brand is a heartbeat—a deeper story waiting to be written.

We were honored to learn from Julie Olive Akurut, the Showroom Administrator, that the secret behind the excellence we saw on the outside is a deep personal foundation of faith on the inside. At Jude Colour Solutions, faith is a vital part of their process. Every morning, the team starts their day with prayer to anchor this devotion.

You see this in action the moment you enter the showroom, where a donation box stands dedicated to Radio Maria. This offers an opportunity for both staff and customers to give toward the work of the radio station—a quiet but powerful reflection of their commitment to growing the works of faith.

Every month, during their corporate Mass—yes, they hold Holy Mass as Jude Colour Solutions—they hand over these donations to the Priest. The foundation of faith laid by the founders has been kept alive, not as a mere theory but lived out.

Stories like these are powerful because they show us the heart of a brand; they reveal the soul of the business. They remind us that behind the business are deeply held values that keep its people grounded.

For fifteen years—through the days when the business was in a small room, through the times in a small garage, up to this point where they occupy a beautiful showroom in Prime Complex—it is faith and prayer that has sustained Jude Colour Solutions. And looking ahead, as they plan to expand their operations even further, it is still faith and prayer that will lead the way.

No wonder they have such exceptional excellence!
